Chocolate-lovers and pancake-lovers will rejoice after one bite into these chocolate pancakes, topped with Marzetti® Chocolate Fruit Dip!
In a large bowl sift flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder, and sugar. Set aside.
In a medium bowl beat egg, milk, and oil together with a whisk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are ok. Let batter rest while the griddle preheats.
Heat griddle or large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Melt 1 tablespoon butter and spread over the pan to evenly coat. Using a small ladle, spoon batter onto griddle, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until edges are puffy and small bubbles appear on the surface of each pancake. Flip with a spatula and continue to cook another 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove to serving plate and keep warm. Continue with remaining batter.
Serve hot and drizzled with chocolate fruit dip and sliced fruit.
