Stuffed Mushroom Caps
These savory mushrooms stuffed with onions, celery, bell peppers, cheddar cheese and Sister Schubert’s® Sausage Wrap Rolls will be the most popular appetizer at your next party.

Preheat oven to 400° F. Remove and chop mushroom stems. Brush mushroom caps on all sides with 3 tablespoons of melted butter. Transfer caps (cavity side up) to a baking sheet.
Separate sausage from roll bread. Finely chop sausage and set aside.
Transfer bread to a baking sheet and bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until bread is toasty. Crumble rolls and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt remaining 5 tablespoons butter, add mushroom stem pieces, sausage, onion, celery, bell pepper, garlic and thyme. sauté 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
In a mixing bowl, combine mushroom mixture, 1 cup of cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs and salt and pepper.
Spoon mixture into mushroom caps and top each with remaining cheese.
Bake mushrooms 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve.
