Sweet Potato Pie

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prick sweet potatoes all over with a fork and place on a baking sheet. Bake for about 1 hour until completely tender inside (a sharp knife should insert easily). Set aside and let cool completely.
Peel sweet potatoes, discard skins, and place in a medium bowl. Mash thoroughly with a fork until no lumps remain. Measure 1 1/2 cups for use.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until thoroughly combined. Add sweet potato, milk, orange zest, vanilla, cinnamon and salt, and whisk until smooth.
Pour filling into the pie crust.
Gently dollop the chocolate fruit dip over the filling.
Swirl with a butter knife.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until edges are golden brown and the center is just set.
Allow pie to cool completely and serve with whipped cream.
