Whether you’re looking for an elegant appetizer or light summer meal, tuna tartare made with fresh avocado, cherry tomatoes, and Simply 60™ Balsamic Vinaigrette is the perfect dish.
Slice the tuna into 1/4 inch slabs and dice into small pieces. Lightly season with salt and pepper and set aside.
Slice open the avocado and remove the pit. Make a crosshatch pattern in the flesh with a small knife, and scoop the avocado into a large bowl. Toss with lemon juice to thoroughly coat.
Add tuna, onion, tomatoes, and basil to the bowl. Carefully toss to mix without breaking up or mashing the ingredients.
Add balsamic vinaigrette and lightly toss again to coat.
Keep well-chilled before serving. Serve on a thinly sliced and toasted baguette.
